The following are commonly asked questions about IOU.info:
Q: How often will my friend get an IOU note?
A: Once you have submitted the necessary details requested in the form on the homepage, IOU.info will remind your friend once every week until the IOU has been satisfied. To turn off reminders, login using your member details and click "Cancel IOU" in the members' only section.
Q: I keep getting IOU notes, even though I satisfied my IOU. Can you delete my request from your system?
A: Of course, we are happy to do so. We will attempt to notify your friend that the IOU will be turned off. Then, we will suspend the IOU in our system. This will cease any outgoing IOU email requests, but keep the record of the IOU live for your friend to see.
Q: How many IOU notes can I send?
A: You're free to send a reasonable number of IOU notes. IOU.info will closely monitor any accounts with excessive IOU requests. If you are using automated software to submit IOU's or fake email addresses, your account will be terminated without notice.
Q: How do I get my IOU in the "Top 5 Crazy IOU's" for a given month?
A: IOU.info staff will periodically check its database for entertaining or unusal IOU submissions. If IOU staff feels a particular request is worthy of the Top 5, it will notify the user and request permission to post the IOU. IOU.info will only post the IOU if the user replies and gives permission.
Q: I got an email asking me to pay money for your service, what the heck is this?
A: Please ignore such emails and delete immediately. IOU.info is FREE and will never solicit you for subscription fees. These suspicious emails are known as "phished" or bogus emails that attempt to trick people into sending another party money.
Q: My IOU's are not displaying properly, or there appears to be a problem with the website - what can I do?
A: Please notify us immediately: support@iou.info. Include a detailed explanation of the problem and your login details. IOU.info staff will fix the website as soon as possible.
Q: I don't want your email advertising, how do I get off the list?
A: Simply email us: support@iou.info, requesting removal from the advertising list and your email will be deleted.
Q: I made a mistake typing my IOU, or I put the wrong details in my submission, can I change them?
A: Yes. For now, please email us: support@iou.info, and we will modify the entries in the database manually. In time, we will provide programming that will allow you to update IOUs in the members only section on your own.
